My Creative Process & Commissioning Works

How do you work? What is your creative process? My work focuses on layered pieces, exploring abstract landscapes and contemporary portraiture. I primarily use water mixable oils, oil and soft pastels, acrylics and mixed media with hand-embroidery, reclaimed fabrics donated by individuals and clothing factories. For other pieces I create wood assemblages using salvaged offcuts from local carpenters. I like to think that we, as humans, are shaped by a collection of pieces.

Do you accept custom commissions? Yes, I love collaborating with clients on custom pieces! I can work within a specific size requested, always translating it through my unique artistic language, materials, and techniques.

How does the commission process work? The process is simple and transparent:

  1. Initial Consultation: We discuss your ideas, references, size, and budget.

  2. Proposal & Deposit: I will send you a detailed quote. To secure your spot, a [50%] non-refundable deposit is required.

  3. Creation & Updates: I will share [1 or 2] progress updates along the way to ensure you like the direction.

  4. Final Approval & Delivery: Once the artwork is finished and you approve it, the remaining balance is paid, and I will ship your piece!

How long does it take to complete a custom artwork? The timeline depends on the size and complexity of the piece, as well as my current waiting list. Generally, a commission takes between [4 to 8 weeks] to complete. Please note that oil paintings may require additional time to dry safely before shipping.

Are the artworks framed? Unless specified otherwise in the product description, artworks are sold unframed. This allows you to choose a frame that perfectly matches your personal style and home decor. Canvas pieces have finished edges, so they are ready to hang as they are.
